Which countries and languages does KI Score measure?
Which countries you can choose as a market, which language a market’s question set is built in, and which languages and measurement countries apply to your monitoring prompts.

This article explains which countries you can choose as the market for your KI Score, which language your market’s questions are built in, and what applies to the language and measurement country of your own monitoring prompts.
Which countries you can choose
During onboarding, under Wo soll die Marke verglichen werden? (Where should the brand be compared?), you choose between Lokal (Local), Regional, and National. The Land (Country) field offers every country on the international ISO country list. Germany, Austria, and Switzerland appear at the top, and all other countries follow in alphabetical order. Type into Land suchen … (Search country …) to find a country faster. Where possible, the country is preselected from your IP address.
With Lokal or Regional, you also enter a Standort (Location), such as a city. Without a location, KI Score uses the selected country.
Which language the question set is built in
Each market is measured with a question set. KI Score researches these questions in the local language of the market you chose:
| Language | Countries |
|---|---|
| German | Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg |
| French | France, Belgium, Monaco |
| Italian | Italy, San Marino |
| Spanish | Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia |
| Portuguese | Portugal, Brazil |
| Dutch | Netherlands |
| Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian | Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary |
| Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish | Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland |
| English | United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand |
For all other countries, KI Score researches in English. A location within a country can have its own language. A market in Geneva, for example, is researched in French, even though German applies to Switzerland otherwise.
The question set itself is visible only to the KI Score team internally. In the dashboard, you see the results of the measurement, not the individual questions.
Language and measurement country of your own prompts
Monitoring follows different rules than the KI Score:
- KI Score writes prompt suggestions in the language of your dashboard interface, so in German or English, regardless of the market and the measurement country.
- You can write your own prompts in any language. KI Score doesn’t translate them.
- When it queries a provider, KI Score adds a short instruction in German to your prompts that asks for a numbered ranking. This instruction stays in German even when your prompt is in another language.
- Each prompt has one to 10 Messländer (measurement countries) from the same ISO country list. KI Score measures each measurement country separately, and each one costs credits like a separate prompt. When you add prompts, the country you chose during onboarding is preselected. The measurement country doesn’t set the language and is independent of your KI Score market.
- Places below the country level, such as a city, aren’t available as a setting. If a place appears in the prompt text, it stays part of the question.
If you want to observe a market in another country, choose that country as the measurement country and, if needed, write your prompts in its language yourself. Name a city or region in the question.
When a market doesn’t have enough demand
Being able to select a country or location doesn’t mean there is enough AI demand there for a fair comparison. If demand for your primary market at the level you chose isn’t sufficient, KI Score measures at a higher level, such as the region or the whole country instead of the city. Your original choice stays in the market profile.
If real demand isn’t sufficient at any level, KI Score adds AI-generated questions to the question set until there are 12. Only if that doesn’t work either is the market considered not measurable, and the KI Score page shows the notice Zu wenig messbare KI-Nachfrage (Insufficient measurable AI demand). Your prompt monitoring keeps running independently. Whether a particular country can be measured therefore depends on the market in question and can’t be guaranteed in advance.
