Tactics AI: asking questions about your monitoring data
What Tactics AI bases its answers on, which period it analyzes, which files you can attach, how MCP servers work, and how many questions your workspace can ask.
Last updated 10 days ago
Tactics AI is the analysis chat in the dashboard. You ask questions in your own words, and Tactics AI answers them from your website’s monitoring data. This article explains where to find the chat, what the answers are based on, and which limits apply.
Where to find Tactics AI
After you sign in, you land on the Tactics AI start page. It shows the input field, four topic chips (Markenperformance (Brand performance), Wettbewerber (Competitors), Quellen (Sources), and Inhalte (Content)), each of which asks a short question right away, and, under Letzte Chats (Recent chats), up to five chats from this session.
On every dashboard page, you can also open the chat with the Tactics AI button at the bottom right. A new chat offers starter questions on the same four topics. Several conversations stay open as tabs in the bar at the bottom, up to ten.
What the answers are based on
Tactics AI uses the monitoring data of the website selected at the top of the sidebar, with the same metrics as the Scoreboard and the prompts table. This includes the comparison with the previous period, the figures per AI provider, the most frequently named brands, your topics, the most frequent sources, and your most cited pages. For prompts, Tactics AI receives a selection: the ten with the highest and the lowest mention rate and the ten measured most often. Full answer texts aren’t included.
Your KI Score, KI-Readiness, and AI traffic aren’t part of the data. Tactics AI can’t answer questions about them from measured values.
Tactics AI answers in German and states the period it analyzed, and for comparisons the comparison period too. Below an answer, buttons such as Overview, Prompts, Wettbewerber (Competitors), or Quellen (Sources) open the views the answer is based on, with the same period. Recommendations are AI-generated suggestions. The linked monitoring data is the verifiable evidence.
The chat doesn’t start a measurement and doesn’t change any data in KI Score.
Which period is analyzed
- A new chat takes over the period of the monitoring view you have open. Without a selection, the last 30 days apply. The chat has no date picker of its own.
- If your question names a period, that period applies, for example “September”, “letzten Monat” (last month), “letzte Woche” (last week), “letztes Quartal” (last quarter), “letzte 14 Tage” (last 14 days), or dates such as “01.09.2026 bis 15.09.2026”. A question like “Vergleiche September mit August” (compare September with August) analyzes both months.
- Tactics AI only recognizes periods in German and as dates, so write “März”, not “March”.
- Follow-up questions keep the period of the previous answer.
Attaching files and dictating
Use the plus in the input field and Dateien und Bilder (Files and images) to attach files. You can also drag them onto the input field or paste them.
- Images (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF) up to 5 MB
- PDFs up to 10 MB
- Text files such as TXT, CSV, TSV, Markdown, and JSON up to 2 MB
- At most 10 files and 25 MB in total per chat
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, audio, and video aren’t supported. KI Score doesn’t store the files. They apply to the questions in that chat.
Use the microphone on the right of the input field to dictate your question. One click starts dictation, a second click ends it. Your browser handles the speech recognition, in German. This works in Chrome, Edge, and Safari, but not in Firefox. Recognition runs at the browser vendor; Chrome, for example, sends the audio to Google. KI Score only receives the recognized text.
Connecting MCP servers
With MCP servers, Tactics AI can also use tools from other services, such as SEO data from Semrush or SISTRIX, or documents from Notion.
- Open Einstellungen (Settings) → MCP-Server. The Browse tab shows a catalog of more than 40 known servers. You connect your own servers with their https address.
- Depending on the service, you connect the server without signing in, by signing in with the provider, or with a key from your account there.
- Connected servers are listed on the Deine Connectors (Your connectors) tab.
People with write access to API und MCP (API and MCP), for example with the Admin role, can connect, disconnect, and configure servers. With view access, you can see the servers and their settings.
MCP extensions are available from the Premium plan: a workspace can connect 3 MCP servers on Premium and 10 on Enterprise. The page shows the count, for example “2 von 3 MCP-Erweiterungen” (2 of 3 MCP extensions). On Essential and Advanced, it shows the notice “MCP-Erweiterungen gibt es ab Premium” (MCP extensions are included from Premium) with the Tarife ansehen (View plans) link; saved servers are kept, but Tactics AI doesn’t use them. If there are more servers than the plan allows after a move to a smaller plan, the servers connected first keep priority, and the others rest and aren’t available to Tactics AI. An upgrade reactivates them right away.
A chat only uses the servers you add to it: through the plus in the input field or by typing “@” in the input field, at most five per chat. Without a selection, Tactics AI uses no tools. The tools that went into an answer are listed below it after “Werkzeuge:” (Tools).
Important: Tools can also change data in the service they belong to. For each tool, people with write access to API und MCP decide whether it runs without asking (Erlauben, Allow), asks before every use (Nachfragen, Ask), or is blocked (Sperren, Block). By default, tools the server declares as read-only run without asking, and all others ask first. Whether a tool only reads is declared by the server itself. When a tool asks, the chat shows the Werkzeug verwenden? (Use tool?) card with the details of the call, and you choose Ablehnen (Decline) or Erlauben (Allow). Only connect servers you trust.
Questions per month by plan
How many questions a workspace can ask Tactics AI per calendar month depends on the plan: 30 on Essential, 100 on Advanced, and 300 on Premium and Enterprise. An Enterprise contract can specify a higher number. The allowance is shared by everyone in the workspace. Tactics AI doesn’t use any credits. People whose role has write access to Auswertungen (Analytics), for example Admin, Editor, or Mitglied (Member), can ask questions. The Viewer and Billing roles can’t ask questions.
A question counts once, even if Tactics AI calls several tools for it. If there are no monitoring answers in the period, the chat says so and the question doesn’t count. The chat doesn’t show how many questions are left. Only once the allowance is used up does a notice tell you the date from which you can ask again. A question can be up to 2,000 characters long.
Chats aren’t saved
Conversations only last while the dashboard is open. Reloading the page ends them, and switching the website or workspace resets all chats. Keep a copy of important answers yourself before you reload the page.
