Are there plugins for Nuxt and TYPO3?
What to know about the TYPO3 extension, the Nuxt module, and the guides for WordPress and Next.js, and when the Server API is the safe option.
Last updated 23 days ago
Alongside the Server API, the Traffic-Tracking (Traffic tracking) page also shows cards for Nuxt, TYPO3, WordPress, and Next.js. This article explains where these integrations stand and how to report your traffic to KI Score reliably.
Short answer
Yes. There's an extension for TYPO3 and a module for Nuxt. From version 2.0.0 onward, the TYPO3 extension sends your website's tracking key once you enter the site ID and tracking secret in the Site Configuration. As far as we currently know, the published version of the Nuxt module doesn't send the tracking key. Without that key, KI Score doesn't accept traffic reports, so we recommend the Server API for Nuxt websites. There's no package for WordPress or Next.js, but there are guides with code you can copy.
What the integration page shows
You reach the integration page in the sidebar through Einstellungen → Traffic-Tracking (Settings → Traffic tracking). Under “Verfügbare Integrationen” (Available integrations), you'll see five cards:
- Nuxt (Extension): “Offizielles Modul mit automatischer Nitro-Middleware.” (Official module with automatic Nitro middleware), for Nuxt 3 and 4
- TYPO3 (Extension): “Composer-Extension für alle Frontend-Requests.” (Composer extension for all frontend requests), for TYPO3 12 and 13
- WordPress (Anleitung, meaning guide): “Kopierbares MU-Plugin für Frontend-Seiten mit PHP 8+.” (Copyable MU plugin for frontend pages with PHP 8+)
- Next.js (Anleitung): “Proxy für Next.js 16 mit Hintergrundversand.” (Proxy for Next.js 16 with background sending)
- Server API (Serverseitig, meaning server-side): “Für jedes System mit Middleware oder Request-Hooks.” (For any system with middleware or request hooks)
Clicking a card opens its setup in a window.
Setting up the TYPO3 extension
The extension captures the frontend requests of your TYPO3 website, including cached pages.
- Install the extension with
composer require tpwd/typo3-kiscore. You need at least version 2.0.0. - In the TYPO3 backend, edit the Site Configuration of the website you want.
- Enter the site ID and tracking secret from the integration page in the Ki-Score Site ID and Ki-Score Tracking Secret fields. Without both values, the extension doesn't send any data.
- Save the Site Configuration.
Tip: Instead of entering the secret directly, you can set KISCORE_TRACKING_SECRET to its value in the server environment and enter %env(KISCORE_TRACKING_SECRET)% in the TYPO3 field. That keeps the secret out of your versioned site configuration.
Why the tracking key matters
Every website in KI Score has its own secret tracking key, which you'll find on the integration page. Every traffic report sent to KI Score must include this key in the X-Kiscore-Tracking-Secret header. If it's missing, KI Score rejects the report. The data isn't stored, and Traffic Overview stays empty.
When we last checked, the published version of the Nuxt module didn't send this header. With that version, AI crawlers and AI referrals won't show up in Traffic Overview, even after a correct installation.
Note: If you've installed the Nuxt module or a TYPO3 extension older than version 2.0.0 and Traffic Overview shows no data, the missing tracking key is a likely cause. Update the TYPO3 extension, or set up the Server API for Nuxt.
The Server API as the safe option
The Server API works with any system that handles requests on the server, for example through middleware or request hooks. That includes websites built with Nuxt. Your server reads the data from the real request and sends it to KI Score via HTTP POST, together with the tracking key in the header.
To find the details for the Server API:
- In the sidebar, select the website whose traffic you want to capture.
- Open Einstellungen → Traffic-Tracking (Settings → Traffic tracking).
- Under “Verfügbare Integrationen” (Available integrations), click the Server API card.
There you'll find your tracking endpoint and a prepared cURL example with your website's details. For how to build the reports in detail, see Sending traffic data through the Server API.
If the page shows the notice “Verbindungsdaten fehlen” (Connection details missing), the website is missing its site ID, tracking key, or API endpoint. In that case, contact support at support@kiscore.ai.
What isn't available
- No WordPress package: There's no plugin to install for WordPress, but a guide with an MU plugin you copy. It runs on your server with PHP 8 or later.
- No content sync: The integrations are for traffic capture only. Content from your CMS isn't synchronized with KI Score.
- No JavaScript snippet: KI Score doesn't offer a tracking script for the browser. Capture always runs through your server.
