Analyzing a source in detail
A source's detail panel shows its citation trend, AI providers, cited URLs, related prompts, and the answers that cite it.
Last updated 23 days ago
The Sources page shows which domains and pages the AI answers in your monitoring cite. Click a source to open its detail panel. There you can see how often the source is cited, by which AI providers, through which URLs, and in which answers.
Opening the detail panel
- In the sidebar, under Sichtbarkeit (Visibility), open Sources.
- At the top, choose Domains or Seiten (Pages), depending on whether you want to look at a whole domain or a single page.
- Click the row of the source you want to analyze.
- If needed, pick a different period in the panel under Zeitraum (Time period), such as Letzte 7 Tage (Last 7 days), Letzte 30 Tage (Last 30 days), Gesamter Zeitraum (Entire period), or your own range in the calendar. Use + Filter to narrow down the answers further by model or prompt. The period and these filters also apply to the sources table.
Two icons sit at the top right of the panel: Vergrößern (Expand) widens the panel, and Schließen (Close) closes it. You can also close the panel with the Escape key.
Citation rate over time
The Zitationsrate im Zeitverlauf (Citation rate over time) section shows the share of answers that cite this source. The chart covers the last 12 measurement weeks. Weeks without a monitoring run stay empty. KI Score does not fill them with estimated values. The header of the section shows the most recent value.
This helps you see whether a source is gaining or losing importance for AI systems.
Citations by AI provider
The Zitate nach KI-Anbieter (Citations by AI provider) section shows which AI providers cite the source. The header of the section shows the number of citing answers in the selected period. A donut chart and a table show the breakdown:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| KI-Anbieter (AI provider) | The AI provider that was queried |
| Anteil (Share) | This provider's share of all citing answers |
| Zitationsrate (Citation rate) | Share of this provider's answers that cite the source |
Only AI providers that ran in the selected period are listed.
Tip: Compare Anteil and Zitationsrate. A provider can have a small share because it returned only a few answers, yet still cite the source in almost every one of them.
URLs, prompts, and responses
The lower part of the panel holds the evidence for the source, split into tabs. A search field next to the tabs searches the tab that is currently open. The Prompts and Responses tabs show 20 entries per page.
- URLs: Domain view only. Shows which individual pages of the domain were cited, with the columns URL, Antworten (Answers), and Erstmals im Zeitraum (First in period). The last column tells you when a URL was first cited within the selected period.
- Prompts: Shows which of your prompts led to a citation of the source, with the columns Prompt, Antworten (Answers), and Zuletzt zitiert (Last cited).
- Responses: Lists the citing answers with Prompt, Modell (Model), and Datum (Date). Click Antwort anzeigen (Show answer) to read the full answer text.
Clicking a prompt in the Prompts or Responses tab takes you to the Prompts page, as long as the prompt still exists. The numbers on the tabs show how many entries each one contains.
Note: KI Score decides which sources count as your own domain or a competitor's domain using your current brand, competitor, and domain details. If you change them, the classification of past answers changes too.
Exporting evidence
You can download the evidence in the open tab as a CSV file.
- Select the URLs, Prompts, or Responses tab.
- Narrow down the entries with the search if needed.
- Click the download icon to the right of the search (screen reader name Belege exportieren, Export evidence).
Depending on the tab, you get quelle-urls-YYYY-MM-DD.csv, quelle-prompts-YYYY-MM-DD.csv, or quelle-antworten-YYYY-MM-DD.csv. Only the currently loaded entries of the visible tab are exported, which for Prompts and Responses means only the page you are viewing.
