Adding, editing, and deleting websites

How to manage the websites in your workspace: add a website, resume its setup, change its name, domain, and brand, and delete a website.

Last updated 23 days ago

This article shows you how to add more websites to your workspace, change their details, and delete websites. You’ll also learn how many websites your plan includes and how to tell which website is currently selected.

Adding another website

  1. Click the selected website at the top of the sidebar.
  2. At the very bottom of the menu, choose Website hinzufügen (Add website).
  3. Follow the steps in the dialog.

The dialog walks you through the same setup as your first website: website, market profile, prompts, and competitors. There is no payment step. After the last step, the dashboard confirms with “Website wurde hinzugefügt und eingerichtet.” (Website added and set up) and selects the new website right away.

You can also start the setup under Einstellungen → Websites (Settings → Websites): click Hinzufügen (Add) there.

If you close the dialog after the website has been created but before its setup is finished, KI Score asks “Entwurf löschen?” (Delete draft?). Entwurf behalten (Keep draft) keeps the website as a draft, Entwurf löschen (Delete draft) discards it, and Weiter einrichten (Continue setup) takes you back. You can recognize a draft by its Entwurf (Draft) badge. To continue later, click the three-dot icon next to the website and choose Einrichtung fortsetzen (Resume setup).

Note: After setup, KI Score automatically starts a first monitoring run and the first KI-Readiness analysis for the new website. After that, the website measures automatically every Monday at around 6 a.m. Berlin time, using the AI providers ChatGPT and Google AI Overview. All websites use the credits of your workspace, so check the new website’s schedule.

Editing the name, domain, and brand

  1. Click the selected website at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Click the three-dot icon next to the website you want to change.
  3. Choose Bearbeiten (Edit).
  4. In the Website bearbeiten (Edit website) dialog, change the fields you need.
  5. Click Änderungen speichern (Save changes).

The dialog has three fields:

  • Name: required; the label for the website.
  • Domain: enter the domain only, as the hint “Nur die Domain, zum Beispiel example.com” (Domain only, for example example.com) says. “https://” is already filled in.
  • Marke (Brand): optional. If you enter a brand, the website switcher shows it instead of the name.

You can’t change the brand description from setup or your brand’s aliases in this dialog. You can reach the same dialog under Einstellungen → Websites through the three-dot icon in the website’s row.

Note: KI Score always calculates your monitoring metrics with the current brand and domain. If you change them, the values for answers that are already stored change as well.

Deleting a website

  1. Click the selected website at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Click the three-dot icon next to the website you want to delete.
  3. Choose Löschen (Delete).
  4. In the “Website dauerhaft löschen?” (Delete website permanently?) dialog, confirm with Website löschen (Delete website).

The website and all of its analyses are permanently deleted. This can’t be undone. Under Einstellungen → Websites, Löschen is also in the website’s three-dot menu.

The slot in your plan’s website limit frees up immediately. If KI Score has already measured one of this website’s markets, however, that slot in your market allowance stays taken until the end of the calendar month. Deleting a website and adding it again doesn’t free a measured market any sooner.

Tip: Export any data you want to keep as CSV first. See Exporting data as CSV for how.

Your plan’s website limit

  • Essential: 1 website
  • Advanced: 2 websites
  • Premium: 5 websites
  • Enterprise: unlimited websites unless otherwise agreed

Once you reach the limit, Website hinzufügen is locked. Below it you’ll see a message such as “Dein Tarif enthält 2 Websites. Mit einem größeren Tarif kannst du weitere anlegen.” (Your plan includes 2 websites. With a larger plan you can add more.) and the link Tarif ansehen (View plan). If your workspace is read-only, you’ll see “Dein Workspace ist schreibgeschützt, bis wieder ein aktives Abo besteht.” (Your workspace is read-only until there is an active subscription again.) instead.

The only way to get more websites is a larger plan.

If, after a plan change, you have more websites than your new plan includes, KI Score runs monitoring only for the websites you added first, up to the limit. For the rest, neither scheduled nor manual runs start, and you don’t get an email about it. Their schedule then shows the notice “Diese Website liegt über dem Website-Limit deines Tarifs und wird nicht gemessen. Mit einem größeren Tarif misst sie wieder.” (This website is above your plan’s website limit and isn’t measured. With a larger plan, it measures again.) As soon as you’re within the limit again, for example after an upgrade or after deleting a website, monitoring runs resume for them.

Which website is currently selected

The selected website and its domain appear at the top of the sidebar. In the website switcher menu it has a check mark. Under Einstellungen → Websites it carries the Ausgewählt (Selected) badge, and all others show Verfügbar (Available) or Entwurf (Draft). The dashboard pages show the data for this website.

Your browser remembers your selection for one year. It applies only to that browser, so a different website may be selected on another device.
