After a relaunch: which information still gets through?
Vincent Sünderhauf
The redesigned website is live, the home page looks good, and sales has shared the link. Two days later, a product URL cited in an answer leads nowhere. The answer retained the old address, and the new site has no suitable redirect.
This example illustrates a useful post-launch question: can people and automated requests still reach the information that used to be public?
Start with important old URLs
Before the switch, save a bounded list: key offer pages, pricing, frequently linked guides and pages already cited in monitoring. After launch, check where those addresses lead and what content is returned.
A redirect to the home page may function technically while losing the relevant information. What matters is whether the appropriate explanation or offer remains accessible.
Check templates and facts
Relaunches often replace structured data, navigation and access settings as well. Inspect the delivered content of representative pages. Do names, prices and conditions match the current offer? Are key details now available only after an interaction? Have intended requests been blocked accidentally?
KI Score’s AI Readiness can provide technical findings. After corrections, a fresh analysis checks whether the specific issue has cleared. That does not imply an automatic improvement in the market score.
Avoid premature explanations
A relaunch usually changes several things at once. If later answers differ, the report should identify the timing and scope of the redesign. Timing does not establish which individual change caused the difference.
Investigate specific faults and previously observed sources first. Keep the question panel as consistent as possible for further observation. That produces a documented transition between websites rather than a chart whose changing conditions nobody can explain.
