Choosing the right plan to start
How to estimate how many credits, websites, and markets you need, and whether a monthly KI Score measurement is enough for you.
Last updated 9 days ago
Which plan fits you mainly comes down to three questions: How many credits will your monitoring use, how many websites and markets do you want to measure, and how often should your KI Score be measured? This article helps you estimate all three before you book.
How many credits your monitoring needs
Only monitoring uses credits, meaning the runs with your own prompts. One credit equals one prompt queried with one AI provider in one run. If a prompt has several measurement countries, each country counts like a prompt of its own. The KI Score measurement, the technical check under Site Health, Fanouts, reports, questions to Tactics AI, and prompt and competitor suggestions don't cost any credits. Questions to Tactics AI have their own allowance per calendar month and workspace: 30 questions on Essential, 100 on Advanced, and 300 on Premium and Enterprise, or more by Enterprise contract.
Use this formula to estimate your monthly need:
Credits per month = active prompts × measurement countries per prompt × selected AI providers × runs per month
For the number of runs:
- A weekly schedule with one weekday gives you 4 or 5 runs. Many billing periods contain the same weekday five times, so plan for 5. If you pick several weekdays, the number multiplies accordingly.
- A daily schedule gives you about 30 runs, a monthly one exactly one.
- Every extra run you start with Measure once is charged separately, even if a run already took place that day.
- After onboarding, KI Score automatically starts a first run. It costs credits too.
New websites start with two AI providers, “ChatGPT” and “Google AI Overview”, and a weekly schedule. Before a schedule is saved, the Save schedule? confirmation shows the credits per measurement and roughly per month. To learn how to change this, see Setting your monitoring schedule.
Each month, Essential includes 150 credits, Advanced 500, and Premium 1,000. Enterprise gets an individual allowance as agreed.
Example calculation for one month
Say you have 12 prompts with one measurement country each queried weekly:
- With 2 AI providers: 12 × 2 × 5 = 120 credits. That fits into Essential with room to spare.
- With 3 AI providers: 12 × 3 × 5 = 180 credits. That's more than the 150 credits in Essential. Each run costs 36 credits here, so after four runs your balance is no longer enough. In a billing period with five runs, the fifth run would be skipped. For every run to take place, you need Advanced or fewer prompts or AI providers.
Also leave some room for manual runs and for prompts you add later.
Note: You can't buy additional credits. You only get more credits with the next billing period or a larger plan. Unused plan credits expire at the end of the billing period. To learn what happens when your balance runs short, see What happens when you run out of credits?
How many websites and markets you need
Each website stands for exactly one brand. So for every brand you want to track separately, you need its own website.
Your KI Score is measured per market. A market combines exactly one offering with one geographic market, for example “Sneakers × Germany.” Your plan's market allowance applies to your whole workspace, not to each website. If several websites use the same market, it only counts once.
| Plan | Websites | Markets | AI providers per website |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| Advanced | 2 | 2 | 3 |
| Premium | 5 | 5 | 5 |
| Enterprise | Unlimited, unless agreed otherwise | Unlimited | All 8 |
If you track one brand in one market, one website and one market are enough. If you want to measure several brands, countries, or offerings, you need more accordingly.
Weekly or monthly KI Score measurement
The KI Score measurement of your markets doesn't cost any credits. How often it happens depends on your plan:
- Essential: once a month, in the first measurement week of the month
- Advanced, Premium, and Enterprise: once a week
With a monthly measurement, it takes longer for your score to become reliable. As long as there are fewer than three scored measurements, your score is marked provisional. On Essential, that takes about three months. One exception: If another customer on a weekly plan uses the same market, that market is measured weekly. However, you can't count on this when choosing your plan.
If you want to follow changes week by week or report to clients regularly, choose at least Advanced.
Your monitoring schedule doesn't depend on your plan. Even on Essential, your prompts can be queried weekly or daily, as long as you have enough credits.
Comparing and trying plans
You'll find prices and the full feature comparison on the plans page and in the article Comparing plans and features. The monthly rate on the plans page applies with yearly billing: Essential €39 per month (€468 a year), Advanced €170 per month (€2,040 a year), Premium €390 per month (€4,680 a year). With monthly billing, it's €45, €195, or €450 a month, plus VAT in each case. Credits and allowances are the same per month either way. You can try Essential free for 30 days, once per account, with a card on file and on either billing interval.
If you need more than your own access, also look at these features: team seats and weekly report delivery are available from Advanced; Whitelabel, access limited to specific websites, and MCP servers for Tactics AI from Premium; and custom roles on Enterprise. Saved reports are limited to 1 per workspace on Essential and 5 on Advanced.
You choose your plan in the last step of onboarding. After that, you'll find it under Settings → Billing. There, the Usage tab shows how many credits you actually use. If your allowance consistently isn't enough, switch to a larger plan. For Enterprise, contact sales@kiscore.ai.
Tip: If you're unsure, start with a few prompts and two AI providers. After a few runs, the Usage tab shows your actual usage so you can make an informed decision.
