Finding your way around the dashboard
An overview of Tactics AI, the sidebar, settings, website selector, credits widget, search, dashboard tour, glossary, theme, and how to reach support.
Last updated 11 days ago
This article shows how the KI Score dashboard is organized. Afterward, you'll know where to find each area, how to switch between websites, and how to reach the tour, the glossary, and support.
Your starting point: Tactics AI
After you sign in, you usually land on the start page of Tactics AI first, the analysis chat about your monitoring data. It has the input field “Ask Tactics AI …”, four topics as starter questions, and, under “Recent chats”, the chats from this session. If your role can't access the chat, the first area you're allowed to see opens instead. On every other page, you open the chat with the Tactics AI button in the bottom right. To learn what the chat can do, see Asking Tactics AI about your monitoring data.
Right after onboarding, however, you start on the KI Score page, which is also where the dashboard tour begins.
The areas of the sidebar
You reach every area through the sidebar on the left. At the very top are the website selector, the credits widget, and the search, followed by Schedule. There you set when your monitoring measures automatically and start measurements manually. While a measurement is running, the entry is called Measurement running.
- Under Visibility, you'll find KI Score (your KI Score with its history, market comparison, and sources per market), Scoreboard, Prompts, Sources (the cited domains and pages), and Traffic with the AI referrals and AI crawlers tabs for visits from AI answers and requests by AI crawlers. Scoreboard and Prompts are folders that you expand with a click:
- Scoreboard contains Overview (the overview of your monitoring with key figures, charts, notifications, reports, and exports), Rankings (a ranking of your brand and your competitors), and Shopping and Ads with the Soon badge. These two areas don't exist yet.
- Prompts contains All prompts (your own questions), Responses (the stored AI answers), and Fanouts (the AI models' web searches).
- Under Actions, you'll find Site Health, the technical check of whether AI systems can fetch and read your website (KI-Readiness).
- Under Setup, you'll find Competitors (your competitors), Settings, and Invite members. Settings is a folder with every settings page your role can see: under “Personal”, Profile; under “Workspace”, Workspace, Websites, Members, Billing (plan, credits, and invoices), MCP servers, and Whitelabel; and under “Website”, Traffic tracking for the selected website. Below that is Customize sidebar.
Which entries you see depends on your permissions in the workspace. The sidebar hides areas you can't access. With Customize sidebar, you can drag entries into a new order within their section and hide individual entries with the eye icon. Close the editor with Done. This customization only applies in your browser.
Next to KI Score, you see the KI Score of your comparison market. If there is a confirmed trend, its color and arrow show whether it rose, fell, or stayed stable. Without a confirmed trend, the value stays neutral and has no arrow. The Change column on the KI Score page explains the change for each market.
At the very bottom of the sidebar, click your name to open the profile menu. It shows your sign-in email address at the top and contains Profile, Appearance, What’s new, Glossary, Start tour, Contact, and Log out. Under What’s new, KI Score introduces new features. If there's something new, this dialog opens once on its own when you enter the dashboard.
Tip: On pages with their own tour step, the info icon next to the page title opens that step of the tour, for example under All prompts or Sources. On all other pages, it shows a short description of the page.
Website selector and credits widget
The selected website appears at the very top of the sidebar, with its domain and your plan. The dashboard pages show the data for this website. To switch websites:
- Click the selected website at the top of the sidebar.
- Choose the website you want from the list.
The menu also shows your workspace's name, your role as a badge, and the number of your websites. The three-dot icon next to a website gives you Edit and Delete, and, for a website that isn't fully set up yet and carries the Draft badge, also Resume setup. At the very bottom is Add website. If your plan's website limit is reached or your workspace is read-only, this entry is locked. The reason and the View plan link then appear below it.
Directly below the website selector, the credits widget shows how many credits you have left (“… credits left”). The bar below it shows what share of your included credits remains. Once 20% or less is left, the widget turns the warning color. Clicking Upgrade opens the Plan & credits dialog with an overview of the plans. On the Enterprise plan, the button is called Details and opens the same dialog.
You can't buy additional credits. You only get more credits with the next billing period or a larger plan.
Restarting the dashboard tour
On your first visit after onboarding, a tour with ten steps starts automatically: “KI Score”, “Set your schedule”, “Tactics AI”, “Scoreboard”, “Prompt management”, “AI answers”, “Understand sources”, “Fanouts”, “Brand and competitors”, and “Site Health”. The tour doesn't switch pages; it explains each area next to its entry in the sidebar. Use Next and Back to move through it, and finish with Finish in the last step. Skip ends the tour. The tour doesn't change your schedule.
If you close the tour with the X, with Esc, or by clicking outside it, it's only paused. The sidebar then shows the Tour box at the bottom with your current step. Resume tour picks up where you left off, and End finishes the tour.
To start the tour again later:
- Open the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Choose Start tour.
The tour then starts again from the first step.
Search and glossary
Click Search… at the top of the sidebar or press ⌘J (Mac) or Ctrl+J (Windows) to open quick search. It searches the dashboard's pages and settings, plus the chat and the glossary, but not your prompts, answers, or sources. You find content with the search and filters on each page, for example under Responses.
You reach the glossary via Profile menu → Glossary or through quick search. Under the heading “Understanding the terms”, it explains key terms such as prompt, credit, market, and AI Readiness. Use Search terms… to find a term directly. The glossary appears in the language of your dashboard.
Note: Every additional monitoring run costs credits again, even if a run already took place that day.
Choosing light or dark mode and your language
- Open the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Open the Appearance submenu.
- Choose Light, Dark, or System.
With System, the dashboard follows your device's light or dark setting.
You set the dashboard's language under Settings → Profile in the Language section, either German or English. It also applies to the emails KI Score sends you and to the AI suggestions for prompts and competitors.
Help and support
- Profile menu → Contact opens a new message to support@kiscore.ai in your email app.
- In the glossary, the Contact support button also leads to support@kiscore.ai.
- Send questions about the Enterprise plan to sales@kiscore.ai.
- Send questions about data protection to datenschutz@tpwd.de.
