Getting Started

Is the dashboard available in English?

Yes: the KI Score dashboard is available in English and German. How to switch the language and what it means for emails, suggestions, and your prompts.

Last updated 11 days ago

This article explains which languages the KI Score dashboard is available in, how to switch the language, why some menu items are in English in both languages, and how to work with prompts in other languages.

Short answer

Yes. The dashboard at toolkit.kiscore.ai is available in English and German, from sign-in and registration through onboarding to every analysis view. Each person chooses their own language, so a team can use the dashboard in English and German at the same time.

The help center is also available in both English and German.

Switching the language

  • In the settings: In the sidebar, open Settings → Profile. In the Language section, choose “English” or “Deutsch” under Interface language. The interface switches right away, and KI Score saves your choice in your profile for later sign-ins.
  • Before you sign in: The sign-in, registration, and onboarding pages have a link to the other language at the bottom, either “Deutsch” or “English”.

Until you choose a language, the dashboard follows your browser's language setting. If neither English nor German is set there, it appears in German. If you come to registration or sign-in from kiscore.ai, the dashboard uses the language you read the website in.

What else the language affects

  • Emails: KI Score sends you its emails in the language of your profile. Reports that KI Score emails to their recipients, including the PDF, use the language of your workspace's account owner instead, because recipients don't have a profile of their own.
  • AI suggestions: Suggestions for prompts and competitors appear in the interface language. If KI Score automatically assigns new prompts a topic and creates a new one for that, the topic is named in this language too.
  • Tactics AI: The analysis chat, which the dashboard opens with after you sign in, answers in the interface language, and the chat's dictation recognizes that language.
  • Exports: CSV files and the PDF and PNG exports of the Overview and the KI Score page use the labels of the selected language. For more, see Exporting data as CSV.

English terms in the navigation

Some sidebar menu items have the same name in both languages and are English words. These are the fixed names of those sections, not a missing translation:

Menu item Sidebar group What you'll find there
Scoreboard Visibility Folder with Overview, the summary of your monitoring, and Rankings, your position among all brands mentioned
Prompts Visibility Folder with All prompts, Responses (stored AI answers), and Fanouts (web searches by AI models)
Sources Visibility Domains and pages cited in AI answers
Traffic Visibility AI referrals and AI crawlers for the selected website
Site Health Actions A technical check of whether AI systems can fetch and understand your website
Competitors Setup Tracked competitors and brands discovered in AI answers
Billing Setup, under Settings Plan, credits, and invoices

The analysis chat Tactics AI also has this name in both languages, as do Workspace, Websites, and Whitelabel under Settings. The dashboard translates everything else, such as the menu items KI Score, Schedule, and Settings, all buttons, notices, and page descriptions, and the Glossary in the profile menu.

Prompts in other languages

For monitoring:

  • KI Score generates prompt suggestions in the interface language, so in English or German.
  • You can write your own prompts in any language. KI Score doesn't check the language. If you want to measure questions in French, for example, add them as your own prompts.
  • Which country a prompt is measured from is set separately from the language, through its measurement countries.
  • KI Score appends a fixed instruction to every prompt. It asks the AI system to list the best results as a numbered ranking so the positions can be evaluated. This instruction is always in German, even if your prompt is written in another language and you use the dashboard in English. An English prompt is therefore sent together with a German addition.

The KI Score itself works differently: KI Score researches a market's question set in the market's language, for example in French for the France market. The question set isn't visible in the dashboard, and your own prompts don't change your KI Score.

How the help articles quote UI labels

The English articles quote every label exactly as it appears in the English dashboard, and the German articles as it appears in the German dashboard, in bold in both cases, such as Measure once or Einmal messen. It's best to read the instructions in the language you use the dashboard in.
