Understanding Your KI Score

What is the KI Score Index?

The idea behind the KI Score Index: one shared question set for every brand in a market, and where you can see your market comparison today.

Last updated 23 days ago

The KI Score Index is built on a simple idea: every brand in a market is measured under the same conditions. This article explains how that works, where you can see your results today, and why the index isn’t public at the moment.

The idea: the same questions for every brand

Everything starts with the market: exactly one offering in one geographic market, for example “Sneaker × Deutschland.” Each market has a question set of 10 to 15 questions. Every brand in that market is measured with this set, with the same AI providers, and in the same measurement week.

Because the conditions are identical for everyone, scores within a market can be compared directly. That also means a KI Score and a rank only apply to that one market. Scores from different markets can’t be compared with each other.

The market measurement is separate from your monitoring. It doesn’t use any credits, and your own monitoring prompts don’t affect the KI Score.

Where to see your market comparison today

Your KI Score and the comparison with other brands are available only in the dashboard.

  1. In the sidebar, click KI-Score in the Sichtbarkeit (Visibility) group.
  2. Select the tab for the market you want, if you have more than one.
  3. Go to the Marktvergleich (market comparison) section.

Marktvergleich shows every scored brand in this market side by side. To download it as a CSV file, click the arrow icon next to the market tab’s name and choose Exportieren (Export).

Is the index publicly available?

No. The public KI Score Index is currently closed. There are no public index pages, no public brand search, and no public interface. You can see your KI Score only in the dashboard.

A score only counts as citable once two conditions are met: it’s no longer provisional, which means it’s based on at least three scored measurements, and at least eight brands are ranked in the market. That’s why the private, preliminary value the sidebar may show after the first measurement day of a new market measurement isn’t citable either.

Why the question set stays private

The question set is the shared yardstick for every brand in a market. That’s why KI Score doesn’t publish the individual questions or the raw answers from the market measurement. Only the KI Score team can view them internally. No workspace role has access to them, not even workspace admins.

You can still follow how your score comes about: the info tooltips on the metrics of the KI Score page explain what the values mean, and the article How the KI Score is calculated describes the methodology in detail.

Tip: If you want to know how AI systems answer specific questions, add those questions as your own prompts in monitoring. There you can review every answer in detail.
