Deleting your account
What happens when you delete your account, which data to back up first, and how to confirm the deletion in your profile.
Last updated 10 days ago
You can delete your KI Score account yourself at any time from your profile. This article covers what to back up first, how the deletion works, and what happens to your subscription.
Note: If you just want to stop paying, canceling is enough. Your workspace then becomes read-only once the subscription ends, and your data is kept. See Canceling your subscription.
Before you delete: back up your data
Once your account is deleted, your data can no longer be retrieved. Export anything you want to keep as a CSV file beforehand. This works on every plan, for example under Prompts, Responses, Sources, Fanouts, Competitors, on the KI Score page, and under Einstellungen → Billing (Settings → Billing) for your credit usage. In the Scoreboard, you can also download PDF reports, CSV data sets, and PNG charts. Traffic Overview and KI-Readiness don't offer a file export.
Keep in mind that table exports only include the rows that are loaded and the columns that are visible. The export under Fanouts, by contrast, covers all filtered fanouts. For details on each export, see Exporting data as CSV.
Tip: Download your invoices too while you can still sign in. See Viewing and downloading invoices.
Deleting your account step by step
- Open Profilmenü → Profil (profile menu → Profile).
- Expand the Konto löschen (Delete account) section.
- Click Konto endgültig löschen (Permanently delete account).
- In the Konto wirklich löschen? (Really delete account?) dialog, enter your account's email address under E-Mail-Adresse bestätigen (Confirm email address).
- Enter your password under Aktuelles Passwort (Current password).
- If two-factor authentication is on, enter the six-digit code from your app under Code aus der Authenticator-App (Code from the authenticator app).
- Click Unwiderruflich löschen (Delete irreversibly).
The Unwiderruflich löschen button only becomes active once every field is filled in and the email address matches. Abbrechen (Cancel) closes the dialog without deleting anything. After the deletion, KI Score takes you to the sign-in page.
You'll also find the Konto löschen section in the overview under Einstellungen (Settings).
What happens to your subscription
If you own the workspace and have an active subscription, KI Score ends it immediately when you delete your account, not at the end of the billing period. Amounts already paid are not refunded. Any remaining credits are lost along with the account.
If you're a team member in a workspace that belongs to another main account, only your own account is deleted. That main account's workspace and subscription stay in place.
If you're the main account and delete a workspace that has a team, every team member loses access to that workspace. Accounts that were only created through your invitation are deleted as well, whatever their role. The other team members start over in an empty workspace of their own.
Deleting only the workspace
If you want to remove the data but keep your account, you can delete the workspace instead. The account owner and people with the Admin role whose access isn't limited to certain websites can do this.
- Open Einstellungen → Workspace (Settings → Workspace).
- Expand the Workspace löschen (Delete workspace) section and click Workspace endgültig löschen (Permanently delete workspace).
- In the dialog, enter the workspace name, your current password, and, if two-factor authentication is on, the code from your authenticator app.
- Click Unwiderruflich löschen (Delete irreversibly).
This removes all websites, measurement data, reports, integrations, and credits, and an active subscription ends immediately. Everyone in the workspace keeps their account and gets an empty workspace of their own.
Permanent and irreversible
Deletion permanently removes your account and all data in your own workspace, including websites, prompts, answers, and analyses. It can't be undone, not even by the KI Score team. If you want to use KI Score again later, create a new account and set up your websites again.
