Turning score changes into action items

Where the dashboard shows you what to work on: source gaps, mention gaps, the competitor comparison, Tactics AI, and KI-Readiness.

Last updated 23 days ago

This article shows which parts of the dashboard point you to concrete next steps when your KI Score has changed or you want to improve it. KI Score has no project or task module of its own. You carry the findings over into your team’s task planning yourself.

First, some context: the only way to raise your KI Score is for your brand to appear in the AI answers for your market. Your own monitoring prompts and KI-Readiness don’t feed into the score, and citations don’t feed into it directly. The places below show you where your brand is missing and what may be holding your website back technically.

Check first whether the change is clear

Before you plan any work, confirm that your score has actually changed.

  1. In the sidebar, open KI-Score.
  2. In the Marktvergleich (market comparison) card, find your brand’s row, marked with the Du (you) badge.
  3. Read the Veränderung (change) column.

An arrow with a value indicates a clear change up or down. If there’s only a gray number without an arrow, there’s no clear change: the difference can’t be reliably told apart from normal fluctuation. “Kalibrierung ausstehend” (calibration pending) means there aren’t enough measurements yet to make that call. In both cases, it’s too early to base your work on the difference alone.

The sidebar shows only your current value next to KI-Score, without a trend. To see whether the value has moved, read the Veränderung column.

Note: On the Essential plan, your market is usually measured only once a month. A calibrated reading takes three measurements, so roughly three months.

Use source gaps

On the same page, the Lücken (Gaps) tab of the Quellen in deinem Markt (sources in your market) card lists external sources that attribute a competitor more often than your brand, in at least two answers. Each source is compared with the competitor it attributes most often. Here, competitors means all other brands in your market, not just your tracked competitors. The list is sorted by Vorsprung (lead). For each source, you can see how often it attributes your brand, which competitor is strongest there, and which brands it attributes overall.

Treat the list as a research brief: check whether and how your brand appears on these websites. The selection doesn’t prove that your brand is missing there. It only shows that competitors are attributed there more often.

Find mention gaps by prompt

For your own monitoring questions, the prompts table shows where competitors get named and your brand doesn’t.

  1. In the sidebar, open Prompts.
  2. Sort the table by the Erwähnungslücke (mention gap) column.
  3. Read the answers for the prompts that stand out under Responses.

The mention gap is the difference between your brand’s mention rate and that of the most frequently mentioned tracked competitor, in percentage points. A negative value means that for this prompt, the answers name this competitor more often than your brand. These prompts show you which questions you lack content or presence for.

Compare competitors head to head

  1. In the sidebar, open Competitors.
  2. On the Getrackte Wettbewerber (tracked competitors) tab, click a competitor’s row.
  3. In the comparison that opens, read the Vorsprung nach Thema (lead by topic) section.

For each topic, it shows the difference in mention rates in percentage points, sorted in descending order by the competitor’s lead. The topics at the top are the ones where the competitor is furthest ahead of you. This works better the more carefully your prompts are assigned to topics.

Ask Tactics AI for starting points

You can also ask Tactics AI about your monitoring data. It’s the analysis chat that appears first after you sign in. It analyzes the metrics of your prompts, competitors, sources, and own pages and links the measurement data as evidence. Its recommendations are AI-generated suggestions, so check them against the linked data. Tactics AI doesn’t know your KI Score, KI-Readiness, or AI traffic. To learn more, read Tactics AI: asking questions about your monitoring data.

Remove technical hurdles with KI-Readiness

KI-Readiness checks whether AI systems can retrieve, read, and cite your website. It doesn’t measure visibility, but it does surface technical hurdles.

  1. In the sidebar, open KI-Readiness.
  2. Switch to the Nächste Schritte (next steps) tab and work through the list from top to bottom. The most important items come first.
  3. Hand off individual items with Fix kopieren (copy fix), or all open items at once with Fix-Prompt kopieren (copy fix prompt).
