Setting your monitoring schedule
Decide how often and at what time your own prompts are measured automatically: daily, weekly, or monthly.
Last updated 23 days ago
The schedule controls how often and when KI Score automatically sends your own monitoring prompts to the AI providers you selected. This article shows you how to set the frequency and time, what a run costs in credits, and when a scheduled run doesn’t happen.
Opening the schedule
Each website has its own schedule.
- At the top of the sidebar, select the website whose schedule you want to change.
- In the sidebar, above the sections, click Zeitplan (Schedule). While a measurement is running, the entry is called Messung läuft (Measurement running).
The Zeitplan dialog has the subtitle “Automatische und einmalige Messungen.” (Automatic and one-off measurements.) Besides automatic measurements, you can also start a measurement manually here, see Starting a monitoring run right away.
Note: The schedule only controls your own monitoring prompts. The measurements for your KI Score run independently and don’t cost any credits.
New websites start with automatic measuring turned on, weekly on Mondays at around 6 a.m.
Choosing the frequency and weekdays
- Turn on Automatisch messen (Measure automatically). If this switch is off, KI Score doesn’t start any scheduled runs for this website.
- Under Häufigkeit (Frequency), choose Täglich (Daily), Wöchentlich (Weekly), or Monatlich (Monthly).
- For Wöchentlich: select one or more weekdays. At least one day must be selected.
- For Monatlich: under Tag im Monat (Day of month), choose the day you want. In shorter months, the run takes place on the last day of the month.
- Click Zeitplan speichern (Save schedule).
- In the “Zeitplan speichern?” (Save schedule?) dialog, check the summary, for example “Jede Woche · Montag · 06:15 Uhr (Berlin)” (Every week · Monday · 6:15 a.m. Berlin), and the costs. Confirm with Kostenlos speichern (Save for free).
While automatic measuring is on, the dialog shows the next scheduled time, for example “Nächste Messung: 19.10.2026, 06:15 Uhr · Berlin” (Next measurement: Oct 19, 2026, 6:15 a.m. Berlin). That way you can check the rhythm before saving. If no automatic run will start, for example because the website has no active prompts, the reason appears there instead.
As long as changes aren’t saved, the dialog shows Ungespeicherte Änderungen (Unsaved changes) at the bottom. Click Zurücksetzen (Reset) to discard them.
You also choose the AI providers for your monitoring in the same dialog. That’s covered in a separate article.
Time of day under “Optionen”
The time is in the expandable Optionen (Options) section. Even when it’s collapsed, it shows the current time, for example “Optionen · 06:15 Uhr (Europe/Berlin)”.
- Expand Optionen.
- Under Uhrzeit (Time), choose the hour you want.
- Click Zeitplan speichern and confirm with Kostenlos speichern.
The time is in Berlin time (Europe/Berlin). You only choose the hour. The minute is fixed for each website, on the hour or at :15, :30, or :45, so that runs are spread out within the hour. Because KI Score checks every 15 minutes whether a run is due, a run can start a few minutes after the scheduled time.
What a run costs
A run costs the number of your active prompts times the number of selected AI providers. The “Zeitplan speichern?” dialog shows what that means for your schedule:
- the credits per measurement and per repetition, for example “40 Credits je Messung · 1 Messung pro Woche = 40 Credits” (40 credits per measurement · 1 measurement per week = 40 credits),
- roughly the credits per month. This is an average, because a month has 30.4 days and 4.3 weeks on average,
- your available balance.
The info icon next to the credits shows the calculation, for example “20 Prompts × 2 KI-Anbieter” (20 prompts × 2 AI providers).
- Saving the schedule doesn’t cost any credits. Credits are only deducted when a run starts.
- Every run is charged separately. A schedule with one weekday gives you 4 or 5 runs, depending on the month, and a daily one about 30.
- If there are no active prompts, the dialog shows “Keine aktiven Prompts. Es wird kein Lauf gestartet.” (No active prompts. No run will be started.)
- If your balance doesn’t cover a run, the dialog shows how many credits are missing.
Tip: Before saving, compare the monthly total with the credits in your plan.
When a scheduled run doesn’t happen
In these cases, no run starts at a scheduled time:
- No active prompts: Without active prompts, there’s nothing to measure.
- Not enough credits: If your balance isn’t enough, the scheduled time is skipped. For each skipped time, you get the email “Geplanter Monitoring-Lauf übersprungen” (Scheduled monitoring run skipped), and the bell in the Scoreboard shows “Messung übersprungen” (Measurement skipped). As soon as credits are available again, KI Score makes up one run, not every missed time.
- Previous run still in progress: As long as a run for this website is still being processed, no new one starts. This only takes into account runs that started less than 24 hours ago.
- Website above the website limit: If your workspace has more websites than your plan allows, the extra websites are skipped without an email. Their schedule then shows the notice “Diese Website liegt über dem Website-Limit deines Tarifs und wird nicht gemessen.” (This website is above your plan’s website limit and isn’t measured.)
- Read-only workspace: Without an active subscription, no measurements run.
KI Score doesn’t make up scheduled times from before a schedule change.
